Why Is My Lock Operating While I Am Programming A New Code?

Your lock should not operate while going through the programming steps. If this is happening, the lock is not getting into the programming mode.

For handles that are 2022 and older:

Try holding down the 8 button first for 2 seconds, THEN add the lock symbol and hold them both for 2 more seconds. Release both at the same time. Continue through the rest of the process as normal.

For handles that are 2023 and newer:

Hold the code reset button till you hear a long beep or the prompt "Enter your new code and press lock"
