INSTALLING YOUR RVLOCK KEYLESS HANDLE
Remove the existing handle and hardware then thoroughly clean door handle area.
Confirm the deadbolt on your RVLock handle is unlocked.
While pulling back on the paddle, insert the interior portion of handle into door opening latch end first. Carefully placing wires ahead of handle to avoid pinching.
Align the new metal strike plate with the latch end of the interior portion and secure handle with the provided plate screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Connect the interior portion wires to the exterior portion wires of your handle. You will know you have proper connection when the handle says “Welcome to RVLock”.
Tuck excess wires into the handle opening. Align the exterior portion with your installed interior portion. Make sure the exterior actuator tooth lines up with the corresponding latch slot and the deadbolt cylinder lines up with the interior bow tie hole. Avoid pinching any wires.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, install the 4 black machine screws in the holes found on the interior portion. Do not fully tighten.
Adjust and straighten the handle in the opening. Once aligned, finish tightening the interior screws.
With the keys in hand, test the fit and function by closing and opening the door, then manually and electronically locking and unlocking the bolt. If needed, loosen the screws and readjust the handle for optimal function.
NOTE:
Do NOT place your mechanical keys inside your trailer. Keep them somewhere outside of the trailer, like a Magnetic Hide-a-Key or a glove box so they are available if you need them.
If the door is hard to shut or will not shut tight, simply adjust the strike plate on the jamb side of your door.
