INSTALLING YOUR RVLOCK KEYLESS HANDLE

  1. Remove the existing handle and hardware then thoroughly clean door handle area.

  2. Confirm the deadbolt on your RVLock handle is unlocked.

  3. While pulling back on the paddle, insert the interior portion of handle into door opening latch end first. Carefully placing wires ahead of handle to avoid pinching.

  4. Align the new metal strike plate with the latch end of the interior portion and secure handle with the provided plate screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

  5. Connect the interior portion wires to the exterior portion wires of your handle. You will know you have proper connection when the handle says “Welcome to RVLock”.

  6. Tuck excess wires into the handle opening. Align the exterior portion with your installed interior portion. Make sure the exterior actuator tooth lines up with the corresponding latch slot and the deadbolt cylinder lines up with the interior bow tie hole. Avoid pinching any wires.

  7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, install the 4 black machine screws in the holes found on the interior portion. Do not fully tighten.

  8. Adjust and straighten the handle in the opening. Once aligned, finish tightening the interior screws.

  9. With the keys in hand, test the fit and function by closing and opening the door, then manually and electronically locking and unlocking the bolt. If needed, loosen the screws and readjust the handle for optimal function.

 

NOTE: 

Do NOT place your mechanical keys inside your trailer. Keep them somewhere outside of the trailer, like a Magnetic Hide-a-Key or a glove box so they are available if you need them.

If the door is hard to shut or will not shut tight, simply adjust the strike plate on the jamb side of your door.

PROGRAMMING YOUR KEYPAD CODE

The default code is 1 2 3 4

We recommend you read all steps before starting. You will have 30 seconds to complete programing.

  1. Using a pointed object, like a pen or a paper clip, press and hold the “CODE RESET button, located on the interior portion. Hold until the handle responds with the prompt to “Enter new code then press lock”.

  2. Enter a new 4-6 digit code and then press lock. The handle will ask you to “Enter new code then press lock” a second time. Enter the same code and press lock.

  3. When programed successfully the handle with say ”New code reset”. If you make a mistake, simply restart the steps above.

PROGRAMMING YOUR KEY FOB REMOTE

  1. Using a pointed object, like a pen or a paper clip, to click the “FOB LEARN” button, located on the interior portion. The handle will say “Connect to remote”.

  2. Press and release the “LOCK” lock button on remote until handle confirms pairing by saying “Remote connected”. You can pair two RVLock handles per remote.

NOTE: Holding down the fob learn button will clear the fob memory.

HANDLE INFORMATION

Volume Control

Press and hold the #1 button to toggle through volume settings. Your handle has low, medium, high, and mute volume levels.

Quick Lock Feature

Press the “LOCK” button to quickly lock your handle without entering your code.

X-Series Keys

No more security worries! RVLock uses high security laser cut keys that are unique to the V4. Your Handle has no master cylinder which reduces the risk of break-ins.

Low Battery Alert

Most batteries last 6 months before depleting. When your batteries are running low, your handle will verbally notify you every time you unlock the handle.

Low Remote Fob Battery

The light will change to red when you press the buttons, indicating a low battery.

RVLock Key Alike System

Reduce the number of keys needed to access your rig by keying your entry handle alike with RVLock cam and baggage handles.

Pair Up To 10 Remotes

Give family and friends access to your rig by pairing additional remotes to your handle. Each handle can connect to 10 RVLock remotes.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Deadbolt is not engaging or door is not locking

First, check the batteries to verify they have power. Second, adjust the alignment of the door jamb found on the door frame. Loosen the screws on the jamb and adjust the plate until it is properly aligned with the handle deadbolt.

Remote will not sync

To ensure your fob remote has power, make sure you see a white flashing light when pressing a button on the remote. Be sure to press in the far corners of the buttons, directly on the lock/unlock symbol so it registers which button you are pressing.

Handle is actuating on its own

If your handle is operating on its own, it is likely experiencing wiring or circuitry issues. Review all wired connections to verify no existing wires are damaged. Contact RVLock support if you are experiencing circuitry issues. 888-316-9899

Code programming is not working

Handles purchased before 2023 have different programming instructions. To find legacy instructions, visit www.rvlock.com. If programming does not work, hold the code reset button for 5 seconds to reset default code to 1 2 3 4. Then, restart programming steps.
