Why Did My Rvlock Lock/Unlock On Its Own?

Edited

The lock operating on its own can be caused by random signals being sent from the remote fob. Erase the RVLocks fob memory by holding down the fob learn switch for 10 seconds or until you hear the beep(Do not hold the "Code Reset" button as this will reset your keypad code and not resolve the issue). Turn the switch "OFF" and then back "ON" in the back of the lock. Now reprogram the fob.

If that does not resolve the issue, there could be damage to the circuitry within the lock. This can happen by means of water getting inside the lock or a battery malfunction which would create corrosion within the lock, compromising the main circuitry. If it has water damage, you can remove the batteries and let the lock dry out for a few days. If there is still no improvement, the main circuit boards can easily be replaced. Please contact us to order new circuit boards.
